These are packages designed to instill hope, self-esteem, and pride.
This is Native Youth Suicide prevention, but more broadly it's designed to provide role models and help Native kids love themselves and their culture. This is for every Native child, because all of them deserve to love themselves and be proud of their culture.
We'll include letters from successful Native American professionals, creators, and artists. These will be personal letters to the children. To show them that someone like them has made it.
To show them that they can too.
We'll include posters of artwork from Native American artists to inspire and uplift.
Kids can put them on their wall as a daily reminder to be proud of their culture.
Stickers so kids can decorate their world. Including some from premium Native American owned fashion line The NTVS.
As friends of the Native Pride Project The NTVS will include a patches so these kids can wear their pride!
Native Pride wristbands so they can wear their pride on their sleeves!
Inspiring poems from Native writers.
As well as facts about Native Americans to educate Native children about the accomplishments of their people. Instilling pride.
A Native Pride notepad so they can express themselves.
A membership card saying that they are a part of a society of Native Americans that love themselves. They can carry it with them always to remind themselves to be proud of who they are.
As the project continues, we'll have unique packages for each community and we'll include representation from members of that community's tribe. The Native American community is incredibly diverse with over 562 tribes, and we want each child receiving the package to be proud of who they are and where they came from.
